The Audi SQ8 is the more powerful sports version of the Q8, and we protected this one with matte PPF. The owner first considered a gloss film but chose matte: on a matte surface, the car's shapes and body lines stand out better than on a gloss one.
The car had a ceramic coating that was about three months old. We removed it by machine polishing before the film went on, because the film does not stick to a coating. The white paint got clear matte PPF, the roof gloss black PPF and the gloss black trim clear gloss film. We also tinted the lights with tinted PPF, protected the glossy interior parts and door sills, fitted a Stek DynoFlex film on the windshield and finished the whole car with a ceramic coating.
