Protecting a new car is an investment that pays off many times over. It preserves the car’s value, keeps its appearance flawless, and shields every detail from everyday wear and tear. For this project, the goal was to create a comprehensive protection package for a blue M4 sports car, enhancing its luxurious appearance and ensuring long-term durability.
Meticulous Preparation for a Flawless Finish
All our projects begin with a thorough preparation phase and scheduling, designed to ensure a flawless foundation for protection and an on-time vehicle delivery. Although this sports car arrived directly from the importer, we performed meticulous pre-treatment on its surface.
1. Washing and Decontamination
Every surface was cleaned to remove grease, dirt, and dust. We used powerful yet gentle agents to eliminate even the invisible contaminants.
2. Light Clay Treatment and Polishing
Although the paintwork was nearly flawless, small refinements, such as clay bar treatment and light corrective polishing, were essential. This ensured that every protective film and ceramic coating adhered perfectly and provided lasting durability through winter, summer, and beyond
3. Detailed Visual Inspection
Beyond the paintwork, attention was paid to all details, including trim and carbon fiber parts. Special care was given to the valuable carbon fiber roof, as protecting this delicate and expensive material is of utmost importance.
Protective Film and Ceramic Coating: Ultimate Protection
At Restyling Point, we utilize state-of-the-art Precut technology for protective film applications. Using a licensed software and precision film cutter, pre-designed templates are cut with millimeter-level accuracy, eliminating the need for blade usage on the car’s surface. But we don’t stop at simply applying these pre-cut templates. Every Precut design is adjusted to meet Restyling Point’s internal standards, ensuring the film extends behind the edges of body panels.
This meticulous technique ensures that the film’s edge remains invisible, enhancing the vehicle’s aesthetics while safeguarding against peeling—even if a pressure washer is used too close to the surface. According to our studies, the average car has approximately 75 linear meters of edges, of which 68 meters are folded with our process. We fold every possible edge within the physical limitations of the film, pushing beyond conventional standards to deliver a superior result for our clients.
1. Paint Protection Film (PPF) Application
The car’s blue paintwork was fully wrapped in high-gloss PPF (Paint Protection Film). This film provides long-lasting protection against stone chips, scratches, and UV radiation. Additionally, a ceramic coating applied over the PPF enhanced its gloss and made the surface even easier to clean.
2. Protective Film Application for Carbon Fiber Components
Special attention was given to the valuable carbon fiber roof and other carbon fiber elements, which were carefully protected with the appropriate film. Carbon fiber is a striking yet high-value material, making its protection crucial for maintaining the vehicle’s value and appearance. 3. Comprehensive Wheel Coating Inside and Out
In this vehicle protection project, meticulous attention was devoted to safeguarding the versatile wheels. Each spoke, edge, and surface of the wheels was coated on both sides with a specialized wheel coating designed to protect against brake dust and grime. This thorough treatment was performed for both the summer and winter wheel sets, ensuring durability and a polished appearance year-round. Additionally, the wheel arches and vibrant brake calipers received a ceramic coating, offering enhanced resistance to wear and simplifying cleaning. This comprehensive approach not only preserves the vehicle’s aesthetics but also reinforces its functionality in demanding conditions.
4. Trim and Detail Protection
All exterior trims, such as window trims, front bumper details, and spoilers, were wrapped in high-gloss black film. This not only enhances the car’s visual uniformity but also protects delicate parts from wear.
5. Light Protection and Tinting
The lights were subtly tinted using darkened PPF film. This film not only adds a sporty edge to the lights’ appearance but also protects them from scratches and UV damage.
6. Glass Coating and Chip Protection
All glass surfaces were treated with a ceramic coating to improve durability and make cleaning easier. The windshield received a Stek DynoFlex chip protection film, reducing the risk of cracks from stone impacts.
7. Interior Protection and Details
The leather seats were treated with a high-quality leather coating to prevent wear and stains. Carbon fiber seat backs were also wrapped with a special film to prevent scratches when passengers move to the back seat. Interior displays received protective films, and all interior sills and black trims were carefully wrapped for added durability.
